There’s always something happening with the Friends of the Jefferson Public Library! Throughout the year, the Friends host events that bring together book lovers, library supporters, and members of our community. Our signature event is the Big Book Sale, held twice a year at the Pontchartrain Center and featuring thousands of affordable books, CDs, DVDs, and special finds. We also hold General Meetings throughout the year, often featuring engaging guest speakers such as local authors, gardeners, and other community experts. From occasional seasonal book sales to author signings and other special activities, our events offer plenty of ways to connect with the Friends while supporting Jefferson Parish libraries.
The Friends of the Jefferson Public Library is an independent, nonprofit organization of civic-minded volunteers that supports the Jefferson Parish Library by promoting library awareness, providing needed unbudgeted items for all its branches through fundraising, and participating in literacy programs.
